E- bikes are Welcome...

But there are some important conditions to be aware of:

• The only competitive event for E bikes - is the 43km E-MTB race (new for 2025)

•  E bike entries for the 10km, 15km and 21km are non-competitive. E.g there will be no event placings or prize money up for grabs.​

• E bikes must be mountain bikes and suitable for steep, hilly, off road conditions - gravel, dirt, mud and tar-seal.

• Riders must be confident, competent and experienced at riding their E bike on steep, undulating terrain.

• Riders must make it clear at registration that they are on E bikes - both when registering online or on the day.

• All cyclists must wear a helmet. Bike checks will not be carried out, but please ensure your bike is of a high standard and you have your own repair kit. 

• Keep right, and please dismount your bike when going through the tunnel, walkers and runners will be on the left.
